Rowdytown was one of the best nights of the summer for sure. An epic lineup, beautiful weather, a pumped up parking lot, and a sold out amphitheater all culminated in an undeniably unforgettable evening. Westword even voted Rowdytown as ‘The Best EDM Show of 2012′ and we can’t think of many reasons to argue. Can Big G top themselves in 2013? That I suppose remains to be seen, but Im supremely confident that next year will see a Rowdytown event like none other. Check the recap video from 2012 above and try not to get too excited, next August is like 9 months away.
We all know that Red Rocks is one of the best venues in the entire world for both artists and audience. It comes as no surprise then that one of the most popular groups we have seen in recent history is releasing a live DVD of their 2012 summer stop at the famous amphitheater. Mumford and Sons will follow in the path of Dave Matthews Band, U2, Stevie Nicks, Umphrey’s McGee, Incubus, and many others in their documentation of their Morrison performance, and will do so all without the use of a drummer. Slated for release in the states January 22nd, the deluxe DVD package will include a Vinyl of the live performance, a 98 page tour book, a special edition release of their most recent album ‘Babel’ as well as the DVD itself, all for $87.50 over at the Mumford & Sons store. Check out both of the pre-release music videos from the DVD and don’t forget to pre-order while you still can!
The Boulder-based EDM duo Savoy has released a video recap of their 2012 Red Rocks show complete with their full 2013 tour schedule. Of course no video can really capture the epicness of Savoy’s all out laser bombardment, but they get pretty damn close with this one. If you missed their headlining event in July with Krewella, then you can plan on catching them on one of their three Colorado dates in February.
